The Legal group is looking to add a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to the team at our new Technology Centre in Toronto, Ontario, conveniently located within walking distance of Union Station. Our plan is to create around 1,500 technology and operations jobs in the coming years. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the purpose of this role is to drive automation and build highly performant, scalable, and reliable processes for software deployment. Legal Tracker is an industry-leading corporate legal solution with a focus on matter management, e-billing, and analytics. As a SaaS offering, this product caters to over 1500 corporate legal departments in North America to streamline operations, control spending and get complete visibility into the legal landscape. About the Role In this opportunity as Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will: Develop, build, and release automated pipelines for the delivery of complex computing systems in a Windows environment. Effective use of modern development methodologies, build and test automation, and agile processes to deliver high-quality solutions that can be operated at scale. Establish direction and best practices for CI/CD processes. Provide support to the Operations team to upgrade manual processes and enable greater visibility around monitoring and alerting. Incorporate security standards compliance in delivering end-to-end solutions. Drive new automation workflows in the cloud, leveraging platform services. Build automation around the replication of production and lower-level environments. Assist with test automation framework set-up and enable simulation of production traffic for performance testing. Maintain an understanding of industry trends and use this knowledge to bring new innovative ideas to the platform. Collaborate with other DevOps engineers to deliver workflows that may span across teams and avoid any duplication of work. Communicate both written (documentation) and verbal (knowledge-sharing sessions) effectively to help educate and drive automation strategy with the team. Look for opportunities to automate processes to enable more streamlined workflows. About You You’re a fit for the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer if your background includes: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant to SR or Automation/development experience. 5+ years of experience in Azure in the production environment Involved in the automation of multi-tenant systems, preferably in a cloud environment. Previous experience in software engineering working with complex architecture. Proficient in building out automation for CI/CD Experience with build and release automation on the Microsoft stack Production experience with containers and/or serverless technologies Comfortable operating in an Agile development environment Understanding of security testing practices and methodologies Strong passion for technology and a willingness to learn and apply new skills. Ability to write clean code that is easy to understand. Customer-first approach to DevOps practices Able to work independently with minimal direction to achieve goals. Strong focus on system performance, and scalability with the ability to troubleshoot in large and complex software systems. Applied knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Automation involvement with cloud platform services (Azure functions, Azure DevOps) Working knowledge of SQL Server Understanding of various monitoring tools across the stack (Splunk, Datadog, App Insights) Experience with the set-up of test automation tools Familiarity with security vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Veracode) What’s in it For You?
