The Sponsorship Sales Manager is responsible for new business development in the assigned market segment within Legal Media Group. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities and sales development, pitching and closing new sales, deal negotiation and eventually customer retention and relationship management. This role is expected to maintain a sales pipeline forecast and report, creating visibility of customer accounts, and an ability to report market trends to internal stakeholders. The role also requires candidate work closely with the product and support teams to deliver an excellent customer experience. This role is opened to be based in Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong. About the Role As the Sponsorship Sales Manager, your duties will include: This is a hunter role, so a self starter with strong ownership and accountability to achieve sales targets independently Ability to learn on the role quickly, pick up industry knowledge and navigate the learning process by connecting with the various industry experts and team members. Identify prospects, have the confidence to cold call and communicate effectively on our value propositions clearly and concisely. A confident presenter with strong presentations skills and familiar with both in-person and virtual go-to-market tools Ability to identify customers’ pain points quickly and recommend suitable solutions to the customer to create a win-win situation. Provide a high level of customer service, display an ability to build strong relationships and achieve a deep understanding of customers’ commercial objectives and motivations accurately. Ability to interact and communicate with customers and team members with confidence, charisma and not afraid to be heard. A dynamic, independent and motivated individual with a focus on delivering results. A team player who understands conference workflows, and strong interpersonal skills to work closely with various teams to deliver a strong customer experience Ability to timely and accurately provide sales reports and forecast; the ability to communicate clearly on pipeline progress, strategic territorial plans and account risks Provide timely and accurate sales report, and communicate clearly on pipeline progress, account risk and forecast to head of department Ability to identify market trends and patterns and to provide a quarterly report sharing these observations with the team. Monitor the advertising and sponsorship of competitive publications and events Some traveling will be required About You You'll be a good fit as a Sponsorship Sales Manager if you have: Bachelor degree in any field Comes from a corporate B2B media (events or publishing) background At least 8 years of sales experience is a must, and a minimum of 4 years of media sales experience in a B2B industry, ie either in B2B magazine publishing or in an event sponsorship sales environment. Advantageous to have worked within the legal/ compliance/ risk / regulatory communities in Asia. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is a must, advantageous to speak other Asian languages. Advantageous to have worked closely Asian based customers in a B2B setting. Candidate has to be based and able to work in Singapore, Malaysia or Hong Kong currently. Manager title shall be conferred based on candidate seniority. What’s in it For You?
