About the Role Managing direct tax risks for a portfolio of countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) the EMEA Tax Manager is a key member of the Thomson Reuters EMEA Tax team. The EMEA Tax Manager will provide tax advice to the business on a variety of matters as they arise, collaborating with members of the global tax team and other corporate departments to provide direct tax support as necessary. The role involves a mix of tax advisory and tax reporting activities. The EMEA Tax Manager will have the opportunity to gain exposure to various country tax regimes and perform a wide range of activities including restructuring projects (business restructuring, entity reduction), M&A (due diligence, integration etc.), tax audits and transfer pricing. The EMEA Tax Manager must be articulate, enjoy being part of a small but dynamic international team and capable of delivering on responsibilities in a diligent and timely manner. An interest in process improvement and use of tax technology would be particularly valued. Key Relationships Internal Working Relationships Treasury department Legal department Group tax and finance departments Business units External Working Relationships External advisers, primarily the Big 4 Tax authorities as necessary About You Skills / Experience Qualified professional (CA, CTA, ATT, LLM, Masters in Tax or equivalent qualification) with at least 8+ years of EMEA specific international tax experience within a multinational corporation or international tax advisory firm Experience in contributing the tax perspective to projects Experience analyzing and interpreting non-US tax rules Commerciality & credibility with the business Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally Strong project management skills Shift Timings : 11 AM to 8 PM IS Behaviours Ability to grasp and present complex data and concepts effectively and concisely Self-motivated with a curiosity and growth mindset Culturally aware with the ability to communicate and execute projects Ability to build strategic working relationships and collaborate effectively Ability to work well with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams Ability to build trust with others who may not have identical goals Do you want to be part of a team helping re-invent the way knowledge professionals work?
