We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and collaborative Tax Product Management professional to lead our UK Tax products for Tax and Accounting UK Professionals. We are seeking a self-starter with a passion for building strong products, tackling complex problems, and partnering with a diverse set of Professional Accounting firm customers, both large and small, as well as internal designers, engineers, colleagues and stakeholders. As a key part of the UK Product Management leadership team, the Tax Product Manager, is responsible for the growth and development of the Tax Products in the UK suite. They lead a small tax team, instilling in them the core tenants of Product Management at Thomson Reuters while delivering against their own objectives. This person will work closely with design and engineering to solve customer problems throughout the end-to-end product life cycle. This role will be responsible both for developing a strategy to grow existing Tax products, and for leading new product development efforts. This person will provide strong leadership to their team, helping to mitigate and resolve setbacks and roadblocks, build and engage a high performing product team, and foster a culture of feedback, experimentation and learning. Please note, this is a 12-month fixed term contract and will be in our UK office (hybrid mode or remote). About the Role As the Tax Product Manager you will: Develop strong product intuition by interpreting and assessing customer problems, business needs and opportunities and offering potential solutions with a moderate level of guidance and direction. Build world class capabilities and products by assisting in the creation a vision for the Tax products and maintaining the tax products roadmap and partnering closely with dev teams and UX to execute the roadmap and deliver efficiently. This includes serving as the customer voice for the engineering teams, prioritizing the product backlog based on customer and business value, and using metrics to monitor and measure progress. Demonstrate leadership by taking extreme ownership for a product / product line, its performance and reliability, and delighting our clients with a positive experience. You will show that you can learn from your experiences, recover from setbacks, and effectively evangelize the product vision to colleagues. Build, manage and lead a world class team of product managers. You will lead a team to define and deliver significant strategic initiatives. An effective communicator who projects confidence and communicates concisely and clearly to management, peers, customers and partners. About You: You’re a fit for the role of Tax Product Manager if your background includes: Proven Product Management Professional Experience coaching and leading a team is preferred Experience working with technology development in the tax and/or accounting arena preferred University Degree in Business or Computer Science preferred (or equivalent experience) 1-2 years of Product Management background What’s in it for you?
