The Technical Services team within the Professional Services department provides technology implementation and consulting services to external clients within the Tax and Accounting industry, including data migrations, software conversions, advanced reporting, and custom utilities across multiple product platforms. We are looking for a Consultant with a strong background in technology and deadline driven back-end projects that thrives within a fast-paced environment to join our customer obsessed team. This role will have an initial focus on executing document mappings for GoFileRoom document migrations and will grow to include other products and offerings. About the Role In this opportunity as a Technical Services Consultant, you will: Meet with customers and Client Project Managers to determine business and technical needs of firms. Accurately scope, recommend and execute technical deliverables based on customers’ needs, Project Manager direction, and defined processes. Execute and modify scripts as needed, as well as work within programming tools and environments. Attain and maintain advanced knowledge of both the front-end and back-end of Tax & Accounting products. Actively contribute to a cohesive team in order to innovate and provide effective solutions for clients. Train and consult client personnel on use of Technical Services tools and utilities as needed. Build and maintain client relationships supporting their use and application of Thomson Reuters Tax Professionals products. About You Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies required You are a fit for the role of Technical Services Consultant if you have/are: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Intermediate or higher technical proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Power Apps and/or other relevant computer languages preferred. Strong Thomson Reuters Tax & Accounting Professionals product line knowledge, with extensive front-end and back-end knowledge of GoFileRoom preferred. Strong industry knowledge (CPA firm experience or experience working with CPA firms in a consultative role is highly desired). What’s in it For You?
