Position summary

ByteDance is a global technology company operating a range of platforms that allow people across languages, cultures and geographies to create, discover and connect. We now have a portfolio of applications available in over 150 markets and 75 languages, which includes TikTok, Helo, Douyin, Resso, Lark, Toutiao, and BaBe. This role will support our new platform. SoundOn is an all-in-one platform powered by TikTok, designed to better service music creators through each step of their career — from TikTok integrated promotion tools to universal music distribution, from diverse monetization opportunities to smart music creation. SoundOn exists to give every music creator & label the power to authentically connect with new audiences and "do music" their way. - Identify, sign, manage and develop new artists across genres, with a data-driven mind and good editorial sense. - Serve as creative and strategic liaison between artists and the platform. - Supervise the production of records and oversee all aspects of the process that leads up to the delivery of all finished recordings. - Work cross-functionally to organize promotional and marketing efforts related to an artist's releases. - Analyze artist performance data across all platforms. - Responsible for the budget and ROI of each signed artist. - 5+ years of A&R experience in music labels. - You have success stories of scouting and managing both emerging artists and established artists. - You have deep knowledge of musical trends, movements, and styles, and you have a finely tuned and constantly evolving understanding of current music taste in the US music industry. - You love to listen to all kinds of music despite genres or languages, and can work unpredictable schedules including seeing live music, listening to mountains of demos and spending time with artists. - You have a natural aptitude for translating data into insights and trends and the aptitude to influence new strategies based on these insights - You are well organized, dedicated, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay outstanding attention to detail. - You have excellent communication and relationship building skills and time management skills, and you've built strong & wide relationships across the UK music industry. - You are a great teammate and always have a positive and humble attitude.
