The Global Security Organization provides industry-leading cyber-security and business protection services to TikTok globally. Our organization employs four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office for 2 to 3 days a week, as directed by their manager. As a direct report to the Data Protection Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the Data Protection Lead along with a team of cross-functional cyber, privacy, engineering, and data protection analysts to define, implement, manage, and measure controls to protect data in accordance with relevant geographical regulations, contractual commitments, and confidentiality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Global Access Assurance team in strategy execution and day-to-day operations
- Build and review technical and functional requirements for in-house or external technologies to support access management and assurance needs through collaboration with global engineering teams
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and metrics that support access assurance (e.g., identity management, access monitoring and reporting, authentication requirements)
- Develop and maintain data residency and data access requirements and controls as necessitated by business need and regulations
- Design and implement the access review process, ensuring that access is reviewed regularly both for appropriateness of access as well as privilege levels for all users
- Implement and enforce mechanism to proactively monitor, respond and report on inappropriate data access events
- Performs supervisory duties:
- Establish performance goals and priorities that align with department strategy
- Develop and mentor a global team of access assurance analysts
- Prepare, conduct and review performance appraisals
- Bachelors’ Degree or industry equivalent work experience
- 8-12 years experience working in cybersecurity or information security
- Understanding of:
- Identity and access management tools, processes, and procedures
- Access permission retrieval and analysis
- Access monitoring and remediation
- Role and policy-based access controls
- Privileged access management (PAM) program management and tools
- Access management across multiple database types (e.g., MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, HDFS) and SaaS / IaaS cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Familiarity with regulatory privacy landscape (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements or non-standard situations
- Demonstrate ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge and remain current on new developments in access management tools and capabilities and industry knowledge
- Experience building and growing a team to meet strategic and tactical objectives; mentoring and coaching staff
