About the Team The Codebase team, based in Singapore is on a mission to construct innovative technologies, platforms, and infrastructures that empower all developers in TikTok. Our team offers a unique opportunity to work with talented professionals in cultivating TikTok's R&D culture, shaping the very foundation for best practices and standard specifications, such as pioneering code review guidelines, developing AI technologies, and CI/CD pipelines. Our challenges are not your regular day-to-day technical problems - you'll be part of a team that's developing new solutions to new challenges of a kind not previously addressed by big tech. What you will be doing:

1. Develop robust platforms and empowering tools that consistently provide engineers with high-quality and reliable services;
2. Focus on centralizing engineering productivity capabilities and services, offering abilities like Open API, SDK, and backend/frontend components to empower downstream development platforms, leading to a high-quality and efficient development ecosystem;
3. Enhance infrastructure maintainability and automation to ensure high business availability;
4. Champion code culture by establishing the infrastructure for implementing best practices and standard specifications. What you should have:

• Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
• Interest in computer science and internet technology with high proficiency in at least one programming language, including but not limited to Golang, Java, Python, or C++;
• A pragmatic understanding of data structure, algorithm design and analysis, networking, data security, distributed systems, and the design of highly scalable systems;
• Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, or AI-related concepts;
• Solid computer basic knowledge, in-depth understanding of data structure, algorithms, and operating system knowledge;
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to effectively identify and address complex issues;
• Good teamwork skills, able to work effectively in a multitasking environment.
