    We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Director / Manager who will play an integral role in managing our global payment network. In this role, you will build up Brazil and LATAM regional payment partnerships and optimize our payment solutions. An ideal candidate is well connected to fintechs and financial institutions. This role is based at our Sao Paulo office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Initiate and deepen partnerships with Brazil and LATAM fintechs and banks. Identify and negotiate the best payment, BNPL, seller financing solutions.
    • Responsible for LATAM payment cost optimization.
    • Analyze Brazil and LATAM payment market development trends.
    • Work closely with ByteDance / TikTok LATAM teams to understand needs and proactively work on solutions to support business growth.
    • Ensure excellent external communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services, taking into account market specificities (regulation, competition, etc.)

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements:

    • Strong experience of building payment partnerships at a fintech, financial institution, large eCommerce merchant or marketplace in Brazil.
    • Have an in-depth understanding of Brazil and LATAM digital payment industry and trends.
    • Strong balance of both strategic planning and a hands-on approach is a must. This will be a hands-on role with deep involvement in execution and leading from the front.

    Preferred requirements:

    • Proven track record in managing and optimizing payment partnerships
    • Strong academic background. Bachelor's degree or above. MBA will be a plus.
    • Self-starter and problem solver with an entrepreneurial drive.
    • Network builder, both externally with payment fintech players, and internally with cross-functional teams.
      Good team player. Ability to work with remote, cross-functional and diverse teams to drive results.
    • Excellent communication skills; fluent and able to negotiate in English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus.
    • Strong organization and priority management skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Can adapt to certain intensity of business travel.
