We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Contracts Manager to join our Global Business Solutions (GBS) team in Germany. Our fast-growing GBS team, which operates TikTok’s advertising sales function, is looking for a Contracts Manager with initiative, who is able to make the role their own. About the role The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting the GBS DACHNL team to achieve its ambitions, developing practical and innovative ways to meet the company’s needs and keep the company thriving. You will help the business to scale by ensuring that the resources, processes and templates built by the legal team are understood by the GBS team, fit for purpose and utilised effectively. Your key stakeholders will be: - The GBS DACHNL team - The DACH legal team and the wider legal team based in London - Your direct reporting line will be to the DACH trading lead and you will have a dotted reporting line into legal. Responsibilities - Act as the primary contact answering questions about our standard form agreements, policies, approval processes, company policies and procedures and workflows. Take the lead on providing approved and consistent responses e.g. on data privacy questionnaires and our advertising terms. - Review, draft and manage commercial agreements. You will work with the legal team to propose and agree simple amendments to our standard templates such as NDAs and our advertising terms and manage client and GBS questions on these agreements. Implement additional agreements where required. - Identify areas of improvement and propose and implement new processes and procedures to increase the efficiency of the contracting process, including through the use of technology. - Ensure compliance with the company’s internal contract review and approval process. - Prepare and present training materials on key topics such as the contracting process and data privacy. - Summarise and communicate legal concepts and developments to GBS. Ensure that GBS is aware of key legal updates and understands the information contained in resources created by legal team. Skills & Experience You will thrive in an environment that asks you to deliver at pace, juggle competing priorities, work to short turnaround times and bring your energy and enthusiasm to a business that is scaling fast and on a truly international scale. - A good understanding of commercial law and data privacy principles (including GDPR). - Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and complete multiple projects at the same time. - Experience working in a cross functional capacity ideally with international teams including legal, finance, management, sales, product, operations and information security teams. . - Excellent written and communication skills - Strong IT skills. Familiarity with databases and trackers. Experience handling large amounts of data/information and handling legal contracts. - Demonstrable evidence of having worked effectively in a team. Driven to succeed, resourceful and confident. - Excellent verbal and personal communication skills, with demonstrated organisational skills Qualifications - Degree which included legal education, ideally commercial law and privacy law - Ideally work experience as a contract manager or another role that included managing and negotiating contracts as well as process management - An enthusiasm for commercial law and to make legal contract management processes as efficient as possible - Excellent German and English language skills.
