    Responsibilities

    • Assist Data Loss Prevention (DLP) team consisting of cross-functional cyber, privacy, engineering, and data protection analysts in implementing, managing, and measuring controls to protect data in accordance with relevant geographical regulations, contractual commitments, and confidentiality requirements.
    • Monitor and respond to events generated from TikTok's data protection technology suite and escalate DLP events based on sensitivity of data types.
    • Collect and analyze DLP event metrics to identify trends and produce metric reporting.
    • Support the development and testing of newly created DLP policies.
    • Understand and follow established data protection incident response playbooks and contribute to the development of new incident response playbooks.
    • Identify opportunities to improve existing monitoring and response processes.
    • Understand data protection throughout data life cycle.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications
    Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Security Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

    Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

    • Building technical and functional requirements to configure and deploy security tools and technologies across multiple operating systems and deployment environments;
    • Reviewing, investigating, and mitigating alerts generated from security tools and technologies and building standard operating procedures and playbooks for the generated alerts;
    • Architecting and continuously improving security technology stacks, processes and procedures, and support models;
    • Performing end-to-end architecture design, infrastructure deployment, and implementation of technologies across asset management, access management, data defense, forensics, security governance, security logging and monitoring, security automation, and vulnerability management domains;
    • Deploying procedures to validate the effectiveness of design, deployment, and management of security controls that aim to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of security technology stack; and
    • Developing and creating security orchestration, automation, and responses for critical alerts in access control systems including identifying bugs and vulnerabilities and managing patching and upgrades.

    Travel Requirement: Domestic travel up to 10% required.

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $113755 - $186200 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
