    In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department.     The USDS Resiliency Operations Security & Privacy Exercise Planner will report to the USDS Resiliency Operations Center Lead. This position will be responsible for developing a training and exercise program to help our USDS team be prepared for incident management, crisis management, and functional recovery. The role will also develop training for internal team operations, cross-functional team training, tabletop and exercise design, as well as interface with risk and compliance and threat intel teams to monitor for likely crisis scenarios.
    USDS Resiliency Operations Center is responsible for Incident Management, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery alignment, and proactive Readiness and Preparedness programming for US Operations for Tiktok.
    This position requires the ability to work well under pressure, act quickly, bring the right people to the table, and understand processes to analyze situations accurately.

    Responsibilties

    • Work to develop various business units, cross-functional teams, and executive level exercises aligned to the needs of the USDS operational environment, and to meet compliance expectations.
    • Work with various departments to understand testing requirements, and translate those requirements into objectives, and relevant scenarios for exercises
    • Strategize, develop, and successfully implement a scalable training program to enhance the resiliency of USDS business units and executive leadership team.
    • Develop and design computer based trainings for USDS business units relating to overall business resiliency
    • Design and implement simulated exercise scenarios that enable consistent operations, cross-functional partnerships and execute an evaluation model
    • Document and analyze exercise results and provide recommendations for improvement
    • Facilitate workshops and develop operational plans and playbooks for various cross functional teams in support of the incident management program
    • Support the Resiliency Operations Center (ROC) manager in maintaining a cadence for exercise simulation and review, to include program business reviews and program communications
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to exercises and planning

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's / Master's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience in security, cybersecurity, risk management, emergency management or education and/or training development.
    • Cybersecurity or privacy incident response, incident management, crisis management or business continuity exercise planning experience
    • Experience developing exercises and plans that satisfy compliance requirements in a highly regulated environment ISO 207001, PCI, et al.
    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to communicate clearly at all leadership levels.
    • Ownership with exceptional bias for action; self-starter with the ability to work well under pressure to solve problems and meet objectives.
    • 3 to 5 years experience
