About the team: TikTok video system is a world-leading video platform that provides multi-media storage, delivery, transcoding services.As a part of US Tech Service department, we are responsible for building the next generation video processing platform which provides excellent experiences for billions of users around the world. Responsibilities: - Be responsible for the sustainability & stability of the TikTok's video system by leading the technical support and operation. - Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services, from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement. - Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and speed. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience. - Experience with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Shell or Go. - Experience with network software, e.g. TCP/IP, IP Tables, NAT, Deep Packet Inspection, IPV4, IPV6, routing protocols, etc. - Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. - Familiar with Unix/Linux operating systems.
