About the Team: The HR operations team endeavors to continuously build and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the whole employee lifecycle. TikTok is seeking a motivated and eager HR Operations Specialist to proactively support HR operations by ensuring high-quality stakeholder partnership and delivering efficiencies through the employee lifecycle. This is a full-time role that can be located in either our Los Angeles office. Responsibilities: - Partner and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to proactively determine and deliver relevant and impactful HR operation solutions to business and system challenges. - Support daily and long-term tactical employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers/mobility, payroll, timekeeping, time-off and leave, and other responsibilities related to employee administration. - Recommend, design, and draft employee lifecycle policies and procedures that enhance and optimize existing HR practices, so that they remain fit for purpose. - Become a trusted resource for HR systems, data, policy, and process knowledge to function as a project manager for HR operation enhancements by supporting new module roll-out and driving optimization initiatives. - Ensure legal compliance by managing and implementing applicable policy and process revisions, supporting HR employment audits, and completing any required government reporting. - Minimum 5 years of HR operations-related work experience in process improvement, compliance (state and federal employment laws), employee lifecycle (pre-onboarding through off-boarding), and HRIS administration (Workday experience), with strong stakeholder partnering and project management skills at a high volume technology start-up. - Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage multiple deadlines. - Resourceful problem-solver that can troubleshoot issues independently and drive impactful solutions with the ability to manage complex processes. - Strong Excel knowledge and ability to perform VLOOKUPs and pivot tables and PowerPoint to create and present professional decks. - Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to write policy and process documentation, and draft company-wide internal communications.
