Team Introduction: As an iOS Engineer on the TikTok Creative Tools Team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing creative tools and features on the TikTok platform. Your technical skills and creative mindset will directly impact the way users express themselves and create content. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you will help design and implement cutting-edge and user-friendly creative tools.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.

This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below: https://1.May 20, 2024 to August 9, 2024 https://2.May 27, 2024 to August 16, 2024 https://3.June 10, 2024 to August 30, 2024

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Online Assessment Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment in HackerRank.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance iOS applications that enable users to effortlessly create, edit, and share creative content.
• Collaborate with product teams to understand user needs and product visions, transforming design concepts into practical mobile application features.
• Optimize application performance to deliver smooth user experiences and exceptional interface responsiveness.
• Collaborate in the development and maintenance of core components and frameworks for the iOS app, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and bugs, ensuring application stability and security.
• Work closely with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between the mobile app and backend systems.
• Graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
• Familiarity of software development principles, capabilities and limitations of iOS platforms.
• Proficient in Objective-C or Swift.
• Understanding of iOS development tools and common third-party libraries.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Creative mindset and a passion for mobile apps and content creation.

Preferred Qualifications • Graduating December 2024 onwards with intent to return to FTE after the completion of the internship. • Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications • High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
