Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Responsibilities: • Apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques optimize advertisers' marketing strategies. • Connect with businesses directly to understand and develop solutions for their Jobs-to-be-done. • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of shopping experiences on TikTok. • Capitalize on the organic shopping behaviors on TikTok today and facilitate retentive behaviors to provide more people value and business value. • Currently pursuing a PhD in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. • Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2024 • Experience with coding in Python, Java, Golang, C#, or C++ • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Preferred Qualifications • Graduating December 2024 onwards with intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship. • Demonstrated software engineering experience from previous internship, work experience, coding competitions, or publications • High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
