Team Introduction The e-commerce alliance team aims to serve merchants and creators in the e-commerce platform to meet merchants' business indicators and improve creators' creative efficiency. By cooperating with merchants and creators, we aim to provide high-quality content and a personalized shopping experience for TikTok users, create efficient shopping tools at seller centers, and promote cooperation between merchants and creators.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2024. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2024. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship cycles below:

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced machine learning techniques to boost our recommendation systems.
  • Leverage ML, NLP, and computer vision to understand e-commerce behaviors.
  • Implement and uphold real-time recommendation models.
  • Dive into datasets to extract insights for strategic direction.
  • Keep abreast of the latest in machine learning to bring innovation.
  • Pursuing a PHD in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or related.
  • Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and top-notch problem-solving skills.
  • Profound knowledge in machine learning, statistics, and big data engineering.
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior software engineering exposure: internships, work, coding contests, or publications.
  • Experience or research in e-commerce, recommendation, or search engines.
  • Contributions to conferences like KDD, NeurIPS, WWW, and more.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and excitement for emerging tech.
  • Exceptional creativity and swift problem-solving ability.
