The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

    About the team
    As Market Lead, you will provide overall leadership to our Malaysia Trust & Safety Operations team. Our Operations team moderate millions of videos globally every day, ensuring we are bringing only safe content to our users. This is a senior leadership role where you will lead, develop and grow the team, ensuring that they are performing to the best of their ability and consistently achieving relevant targets and standards.

    To eliminate any doubt, this role involves reading, viewing, listening and examining user-generated content to ensure they comply with community guidelines.

    Content includes images, video, text related to every day life, but they can also include (but are not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

    Responsibilities

    1. Contribute to the strategic planning for the business at the respective market level
    2. Develop and implement operations processes based on the strategic plans for the business
    3. Communicate and implement the operating policies and processes to drive service, efficiency, and quality metrics while ensuring team compliance
    4. Assist Cluster Lead and work with XFN teams to implement plans and policies
    5. Monitor and analyze key indicators of team performance to meet the goals and ensure continuous improvement
    6. Lead and manage resources in the team to accomplish operations and business goals
    7. Maintain wellbeing of the team by working closely with the relevant parties and implementing wellness programs
    8. Have regular coaching with team members for continuous performance improvement purpose

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. You have experience recruiting, leading, mentoring and developing high performing teams, including managing people managers
    2. You are detail-oriented and comfortable using data to analyse performance and using insight to drive performance

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Preferably possess knowledge of Six Sigma / Lean processes & continuous improvement methodologies
    2. You possess exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills with a passion for delivering a high standard of service.
