Overview The Global Business Marketing team is looking for a Media Strategist responsible for translating our innovative suite of ad products into creative marketing materials and strategic activation plans. The Media Strategist sits at the intersection of product and marketing, partnering closely with Product Strategists, Marketing and Client-facing teams to ensure that products and brand opportunities are properly integrated into activation plans, helping global advertisers better understand the potential of TikTok's commercial offering. The ideal candidate is an experienced strategist with a strong background in understanding ad products across channels and ad buying methodologies, as well as a strategic marketing thinker, able to bring exciting narratives to life through strategic marketing plans and impactful marketing collateral. They are a gifted storyteller, with the ability to creatively connect the dots between TikTok's product innovation and brands' objectives. They have an appetite for learning, and are comfortable working outside their primary skill set and comfort zone, to help drive creativity and product innovation for TikTok. Responsibilities - First and foremost: simplify the complex. Be able to turn technical ad products offerings into compelling and easy-to-understand packages of solutions that are relevant to clients' needs - Come up with creative packaging ideas that reinvent how advertising products are being presented in-market, and result in on-brand, breakthrough communications around our monetization solutions - Work closely with regional marketing, research and product teams to understand challenges and opportunities in great detail, digest and simplify the information, and use it to make strategic recommendations around business and marketing needs across regions. - Partner closely with the global business marketing team functions and external production partners to ensure that marketing ideas are executed and adopted seamlessly - throughout internal social, PR, and web properties, and externally through industry engagements - Work with senior leadership to craft compelling narratives across industry events, partner meetings and other high profile engagements - Knowing our ecosystem of media solutions inside-out, in order to strategically recommend what series of ad products are better suited to solve any given client or vertical need. - Create measurable campaign KPI's, read and analyze campaign metrics and leverage insights from data to help enhance future activations - 6+ years of experience in a comms planning, media planning or digital strategy role; ideally from a digital or media agency, or from an advertiser's marketing team. - Familiarity with performance-driven marketing solutions, as well as being able to have thorough strategic conversations around targeting or measurement tools and solutions. - Experience with integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social, experiential) and the ability to demonstrate its impact on the brand - Ability to deeply understand the ad industry holistically, and the media buying process in particular - Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and eloquently present them - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working across a wide range of stakeholders - Strong grasp and keen passion for marketing, technology and culture, and an understanding of the social media and entertainment space - Well organized, detail-oriented, ambitious personality who is open to helping with any task - Experience working in tech environments and/or product teams is a plus!
