About the Team:
The Global Privacy & Regulatory Affairs team handles and oversees legal privacy and regulatory matters pertaining to TikTok's global operations. The team works cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders in the US and around the world to tackle some of the most complex, interesting, and cutting edge issues in privacy and security. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced, and bright legal professionals to join our exciting team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global litigation team on privacy related litigation matters on a global scale
- Handle and respond to complex regulatory and governmental inquiries and investigations globally
- Prepare risk analysis and recommendations on key issues impacting litigation and regulatory strategy, and oversee implementation of same
- Work with cross-functional, cross-regional stakeholders on privacy communications and initiatives
- Handle privacy incidents, inquiries, and escalations
- J.D. degree from ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with membership in good standing in a US state bar
- 5+ years of litigation and/or regulatory experience, technology experience a plus
- Experience engaging with regulators and data protection authorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail, with ability to work independently and be highly productive in fast-paced environment
