TikTok's US Safety team is dedicated to making TikTok safe for our users, viewers, and content creators globally. TikTok is looking for an experienced program management lead to join the US Trust and Safety team. This role is responsible for identifying synergies and enabling the organization to effectively manage hyper growth with operational and strategic rigor. You'll build and lead a program management team responsible for the PgM functions of the US Safety team by coordinating and aligning resources and stakeholders across the organization. You'll develop a deep understanding of all facets of the Safety organization and verticals, and manage projects from conception to implementation, take on new challenges and have a major impact on the integrity of our platform. The ideal candidate will thrive in ambiguous and complex situations to unpack and discover core drivers and issues below the surface. They'll be a coach and leader for their team, driving impact across the organization. They'll be able to think both strategically and tactically, devise and execute action plans that break problems down into simple and straightforward chunks. They'll work to understand the support needs of our teams and cross-functional partners to provide direction and management of Safety programs. Responsibilities - Lead the Safety program functions and build a program management team for scale - Own and project manage business-critical initiatives through strong cross-functional collaboration, prioritization, consensus building, and tracking of progress and milestones - Define our Safety Program Management team strategy and prioritization framework, manage the intake, assess level of effort, assignment and prioritization of projects along with the tracking of key metrics and organizational goals - Engage across all levels for stakeholder management to effectively and succinctly communicate updates and develop feedback loops with leadership and other internal and global partners - Bring together global and US Safety stakeholders to coordinate resources and ensure tight alignment with company objectives - Foster and adopt a culture driven by curiosity, with a penchant for analytical, process & detail-oriented practices, develop a team that delivers compelling narratives through the use of data - Be an internal consultant and thought partner to Safety teams and PMOs to identify synergies and areas of improvement and execute on them - Bachelor's degree or relevant experience with a track record of high achievement and execution above expectations - 5 years experience preferably in consulting or a similar role within the tech industry. Experience with a focus on technical program management is a plus - A minimum of 3 years of people management experience, coaching and leading a team through regular 1:1s and performance reviews - Demonstrated success with managing multiple stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment within an organization - Problem-solving and project management skills, preferably lean six sigma black belt certification or equivalent - Strong business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization - Innately curious and practice a methodical approach to problem-solving and ability to test hypotheses, iterate, and draw conclusions - Comfortable presenting and communicating across all levels of the organization - Willingness to travel (approximately 30% post-COVID) - Humility, and the willingness to challenge what you know in order to effectively build for the uniqueness of TikTok - Enthusiasm for the mission of the Safety Organization and a strong work ethic that will ground you through challenging projects - The inability to take "no" or "it can't be done" as an answer TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
