Position summary

TikTok AR effects has global offices including Los Angeles, Mountain View, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo. We are looking for Research Engineer/Scientist to join the TikTok Augmented Reality (AR) Effect team! You will be responsible for bringing the latest and greatest innovations in computer graphics to our platform that empowers millions of TikTok creators. • Conduct cutting-edge research and development of computer graphics technologies. • Collaborate with other researchers, engineers and 3D artists to transfer CG technologies to TikTok's AR Effect platform. • MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or related technical field. • 3+ years' experience of research or engineering in one or more areas of computer graphics, including but not limited to: o Rendering o Animation o Geometry processing o Procedural modeling o Physically based simulation o Light field capture and rendering o Neural rendering o Image synthesis o 3D deep learning o Immersive technologies o Human-centered robotics • Basic knowledge of game engine architecture. • Professional coding experience in C/C++ and solid software engineering background. • Experience with at least one of the graphics APIs (OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Metal, Vulkan, DX11/12). • Passionate for augmented reality and visual effects. Preferred: • Strong track record of research demonstrated by publications or talks in CG-related conference and journals, such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, SCA, GDC, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc. • Experience with the development of real-time graphics systems or game engines. • Experience with the development of 3D design and modeling software.
