    Position summary

    Team Introduction
    Building a world where people can safely discover, create and connect. The Trust & Safety (T&S) team at TikTok helps ensure that our global online community is safe and empowered to create and enjoy content across all of our applications. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

    It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. This may occur in the form of images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

    About the Team
    Search Recommendation and Traffic is responsible for ensuring that all search terms recommended to users fall within the bounds of safety and intelligently guide users to content likely to interest them. Our mission is to help increase TikTok's traffic while protecting the safety of our users.

    Responsibilities:
    What will I be doing?

    • Evaluating cases reviewed by BPO sites for accuracy
    • Planning and conducting workflow and policies trainings
    • Conducting root cause analyses to improve quality and efficiency
    • While it is assumed the evaluator will focus on their area of expertise, there will be occasions in which he/she will work on projects outside this core area that could require other capabilities, such as using assessment methods flexibly to support related projects
    • Working with sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence, adult & sexual content
    • Other Ad-hoc and relevant projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 2+ years experience in Trust and Safety
    • Fluency in both English and Spanish required: The role involves frequent communication with global teams, clients, and stakeholders in English-speaking regions as well as in Spanish-speaking markets. Proficiency in Spanish is essential to effectively help you to evaluate quality cases from the Latin American Market bringing local culture through case analysis and investigations. With that, we also are going to handle market specialties based on language and cultural colocations.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms, specifically TikTok
    • An in-depth understanding of local Latin American culture and familiarity with the Internet usage habits of local users
    • Strong ability to learn and understand through self-study
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
    • Proficient with common office softwares, particularly Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and/or Feishu Docs

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • In-depth experience and knowledge of the TikTok app.
    • In-depth knowledge of Social Media trends
    • Experience in training
    • Experience in leadership
