Our Global Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team provides legal support for data privacy and data protection matters involving TikTok and Bytedance. Our team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright, and capable legal professionals to join the team. This role is open to be based either in Dublin or London.
The role:
- Act as the lead privacy lawyer for Bytedance's payments businesses;
- Provide global strategic leadership and guidance regarding the responsible use of personal information in connection with our payments and e-commerce initiatives;
- Lead on reviewing new products, product features, and other product-related matters to ensure compliance with data protection laws; and
- Lead efforts to develop global standards and policies surrounding privacy and data protection practices.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer and admitted to practice in UK or at least one EU jurisdiction;
- Minimum of 10 years' privacy experience at top law firm or in-house team (in house experience preferred);
- Experience advising clients on privacy risk assessment and mitigation in the payments space;
- The ability to effectively interact with all levels of management;
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills in a cross-functional and global role;
- Determination to face tough challenges in a fast-paced environment while keeping a sense of humor.
