We are looking for a qualified, motivated and entrepreneurial audit professional based in Los Angeles, CA. The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for performing operational and compliance audits in the areas of design, efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls. You will collaborate with business, product, engineering, finance, and compliance teams to identify risks and control gaps and make valuable recommendations to improve policies and procedures.
Team Introduction
The Internal Audit team plan and execute audit projects according to audit plan and risk assessments by evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of current-state financial, compliance, and operational processes and controls. We advise business functions in addressing risks and control violations, developing solid solutions, and tracking and reporting. on the progress of the process and compliance improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct engagements with a focus on analysis and assessment of the control environment associated with the operational, financial, technology and compliance processes of the Company.
- Assist in diagnosing operational, financial, technology and compliance risks and identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Design and perform audit programs to address relevant risk and applicable controls.
- Analyze, interpret and conclude on audit findings as well as make practical recommendations. Should feel comfortable around senior stakeholders and be able to clearly present findings and agree on corrective action plans.
- Assist in preparing audit deliverable that covers executive summary, audit scope, evidence filing, findings and recommendations.
- Perform a regular, periodic follow-up on significant audit findings and recommendations to evaluate the adequacy of corrective actions.
- Identify and maintain leading-edge knowledge and audit techniques to improve the audit process and results.
- Participate in various company-wide initiatives, such as reviews of policies and procedures.
- Assist in continuous improvement processes and activities, such as awareness/training programs and sessions on audit, risk and control.
- Maintain an understanding of emerging technology, risks and industry trends.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with process owners and stakeholders in various departments effectively, to increase awareness of the importance of risk and controls, and the role of the Internal Auditor.
- Big 4 audit experience preferred. Social media, digital marketing, streaming, entertainment, or e-commerce industry experience is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in internal audit-related engagements (operational/business process audit experience is preferred) with a working knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) standards
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of COSO Frameworks is required. Internal control documentation and risk assessment experience are desired.
- Basic understanding of IT general control and IT application control is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently or with other departments cross-functionally, and take ownership of their projects.
- Able to work in a flexible team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or applicable certification preferred.
- Ability to use MS Excel or other applicable tools to perform data analytics over key metrics or large data sets during risk assessments or audit testings.

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $70000 - $120000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
