    The Team
    The European Privacy Team, is located in Dublin, London, Brussels and Paris. We are part of the wider TikTok Global Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team and we advise and support all aspects of TikTok and Bytedance Business in terms of data protection matters, GDPR, ePrivacy compliance, NIS2, DMA and AI Act.

    The Role
    We are looking for an experienced regulatory lawyer to join our European Privacy team, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a company that is enjoying hyper growth on a truly international scale and advise on cutting edge products and features.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead on regulatory engagement and investigations regarding data protection matters.
    • Collaborating and communicating with internal and external partners regarding a wide range of regulatory privacy matters;
    • Support Regulatory matters relating to Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, AI Act and other new and upcoming digital regulations in the EU and UK.
    • Lead and support on incident management.
    • Support litigation colleagues in management of privacy related litigation.
    • Assisting with and driving large cross functional projects aimed at bolstering GDPR compliance from a regulatory perspective.
    • Support our privacy compliance programme, policies and procedures for TikTok in Europe.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • European or UK qualified lawyer with privacy and/or regulatory litigation experience.
    • Experience engaging with regulators, including data protection regulators, is essential.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential and an ability to draft legal submissions to regulators. - - Highly organised, self motivated and capable of driving forward challenging projects.

    • Demonstrated experience delivering high quality advice within tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
    • Strong leadership skills with an ability to inspire and encourage colleagues.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with legal colleagues and other cross functional stakeholders.
