The RTC team of US Tech Service department is responsible for building the next generation audio/video processing and compression platform, along with the fastest delivery networks and the richest cloud services. Popular products by TikTok are all empowered by our cutting-edge RTC technologies. Working in this team, you will have the opportunity to tackle the challenges of advanced audio/video algorithm design and global large-scale network deliveries while leveraging your expertise in engineering, algorithms, data analysis, and large-scale system design. - Participate in the design, development, implementation, optimization and maintenance of the TikTok RTC system - Act as an owner to provide technical leadership, drive projects, and plan long-term technology roadmap. - Follow the best practice to automate the operations and increase the entire efficiency - Collaborate with cross-functional engineering & product teams on delivering key results formulate the service standards, and continuously optimize the TikTok RTC service quality - Support and manage a high SLA and large-scale online distribute environment - Provide 24/7 on-call rotation, incident response and collaborative debugging. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience. - Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java, C/C++ or Python - Familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems. - Experience with networking, e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, CDN, NAT, Load Balancer, VPN, etc - Experience with container technology such as Kubernetes - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Preferred Qualifications: - Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems. - Experience with WebRTC ,CDN, Multimedia, and Live Streaming etc - Operational experience running a production 24x7 infrastructure at scale TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
