Security Team at TikTok The team is missioned to build infrastructures, platforms and technologies, as well as to support cross-functional teams to protect our users, products and infrastructures. In this team you'll have a unique opportunity to have first-hand exposure to the strategy of the company in key security initiatives, especially in building scalable and secure-by-design systems and solutions. Our challenges are not your regular day-to-day technical problems; you'll be part of a team that's developing new solutions to new challenges of a kind not previously addressed by big tech. We are looking for Full Stack Engineers to join our AppSec team in building the next-generation of Bytedance's product security & privacy infrastructure that furthers our system security and user data privacy protection level, which will impact all Bytedance's products globally, including but not limited TikTok. In addition, you will also have opportunities to work closely with product teams across the world. Together we will identify opportunities, define innovative ways to build our users a safe and trustworthy environment, and help us shape the future of Bytedance. What You'll Do: - Design, develop, test, maintain and continuously improve TikTok's product security&privacy infrastructure - Deploy, troubleshoot and operate large distributed systems - Optimize reliability, availability and performance of globally distributed systems - Analyze product needs and security&privacy objectives to deliver results aligned with project goals - Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables - Collaborate with multiple cross-functional global teams to deliver high-quality work in rapid product development - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other relevant majors with 2+ year of work experience - Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms - Proficiency in Javascript ES5 or later, CSS and various layouts - Understanding of component-based development ideas, familiarity with React, Angular, Vue.js, or any other equivalent library / framework - Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in general purpose programming languages - Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear, concise and timely manner" *TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
