Position summary

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. TikTok has global offices including Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul and Tokyo. The Cloud Infrastructure team, based in Singapore, supports many of our star products and core business lines, serving hundreds of millions of users every day. We actively embrace open source and innovative software/hardware architecture, building a series of infrastructure to ensure the best R&D practices and enable the overall development of the company. Our team is responsible for the resource scheduling management of TikTok and its affiliates' internal cloud computing engine, and is responsible for the construction and management of the underlying infrastructure of our cloud engine products. Our cloud engine hosts tens of thousands of internal online micro-services such as Toutiao, Douyin, and TikTok international businesses. We also manage the industry-leading Kubernetes cluster. At present, our team is developing a large-scale hybrid deployment project on and offline, further integrating Kubernetes / Yarn and other systems into a unified resource management system. Responsibilities - Construct an efficient and stable resource management system to optimize resource isolation and resource utilization; - Continuously solve technical and business problems caused by scale growth, and be responsible for the availability, stability and performance optimization of the cluster; - Design and implement a more robust system architecture to solve general business problems; - Responsible for resource scheduling and system integration with large-scale online and offline hybrid deployment scenarios. - Possesses a Geek Spirit, with strong problem solving ability; - Seasoned software development skill in at least one general purpose programming language, such as Java, C++ or Go; - Posses a solid foundation in computer theory, and familiarity with data structures and algorithms; - Experience with large-scale distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications - In-depth understanding of Yarn, Kubernetes, Spark, Flink and other systems, or have contributed relevant code in the community; - In-depth understanding of Docker / LXC and other containerisation technologies; - In-depth understanding of Linux Kernel; - In-depth research and experience in machine learning training frameworks such as Submarine or Kubeflow; - Experience in managing large-scale distributed systems, or strong enthusiasm for industry computing infrastructure trends.
