Position summary

The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. With billions of loyal users globally, TikTok is well positioned to develop a novel and engaging e-commerce experience for its users. In helping us achieve the goal, we are looking for passionate and talented people to join our special project team that is responsible for driving strategic analysis, devising solutions to key business issues and implementing solutions through liaising with multiple core business teams such as merchant operation, creator operation, product, campaign, platform governance and etc. Responsibilities: - Lead and manage special project teams on a daily basis to help solve key business challenges and liaise with various major operational teams to drive overall business results - Device strategy analysis frameworks for identifying key business challenges through collection and analysis of vast business operation data to derive insights that outline imminent business issues - Conduct competitor benchmarking analysis, survey of key business stakeholders such as merchants or creators, and macro or industry analysis to form solutions to solve key business issues - Initiate and drive special projects that leverage cross-departmental resources to implement the solutions and be the ultimate owner of the project outcome - Support strategic projects to drive platform growth, including GMV, buyer CRM, seller program adoption rate and other key metrics with cross-functional partners such as marketing, seller management, and operations - Collaborate with other functional teams to promote the optimization of governance, strategy, data and product operation Qualification - Minimum 7 years of overall work experience and at least 3 years in leading consulting or e-commerce companies' strategic role in the capacity of a team leader - 2-3 years of overseas experience and willingness to conduct overseas travel or long term assignment is strongly preferred - MBA and undergraduate degrees from reputable universities are preferred - Extensive strategy project experiences where the candidate researches and analyzes issues, devices solutions and implements measures that drive business results - Deep understanding of the ecommerce industry including its business model, customer needs, merchant operation, creator operation, social media, e-commerce, livestreaming, and digital trends landscape - Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong logical thinking and analytical skills - Adaptable, fast learner, highly motivated, results and goal-oriented with commercial experience - Proficiency in English is required - Candidate with familiarity in SQL skill is a plus
