The Privacy team focuses on implementing privacy and creating architectures in line with reasonable practices that treat user data with respect and transparency. Our team also responsible for Younger Users, an alternative TikTok environment appropriate for users under thirteen. We are looking for passionate Software Engineers that have strong problem-solving skills and coding skills to develop our privacy products. On the TikTok Privacy team, you will have significant ownership and impact over major user-facing features that affect the core TikTok experience. As an iOS Engineer on the TikTok Privacy team, you will: • Build privacy products to serve our user's data privacy needs; • Increase protection of young users and families on engaging digital platforms; • Evolve TikTok for Younger Users, an alternative TikTok environment appropriate for users under thirteen; • Design, implement and maintain the features that protect user privacy of our mobile application; • Collaborate with the design and product teams to create a world-class mobile experience; • Analyze and optimize iOS applications for efficiency, performance and privacy control; • Promote robust and maintainable code, clear documentation, and deliver high-quality work on a tight schedule. • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or at least 5 YOE in native iOS development; • Proficiency in Objective-C and/or Swift; • Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases; • Good team communication and collaboration skills; • Passion or interest in protecting individual privacy is a huge plus!
