What You'll Do:
This position is responsible for supporting the creation of an optimal mix and strategic flow plans. Builds effective sales and inventory plans to drive profitability and supervises day-to-day operations to ensure department priorities are met
Supports creation of in-season and pre-season plans to reflect strategic vision for department by:
Leading analysis and preparing financial results for quarterly Merchant strategy meetings; participates in strategy meetings
Identifying opportunities and risks of department planning
Developing and presenting recommendations on sales, inventory and flow plans for future events
Visits stores and competition to evaluate and critique product mix for brands, fashion, quality, and price, sharing findings and developing recommendations to implement with merchant team and other business partners
Supports shipping strategies by identifying merchandise flow opportunities and risks; provides recommendations to problem solve
Builds and executes new business opportunities by measuring results and providing recommendations
Accountable for ensuring department inventory plans and flow are successfully executed for new store openings
Provides support and coaching to Allocation Analysts; advice and guidance to team members on day-to-day key activities; mentors, trains and is a resource to answer questions and discuss best practices
Oversees the communication with Stores and Distribution Centers to resolve issues related to product
About You:
College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Retail or Business Management preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience in Retail Planning & Allocation preferred
Good working knowledge of financial planning, business tools and reports to make business recommendations
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions, revise business strategies to support the vision of the department

Salary Range: $60,082.50-$84,115.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
