Manager, Corporate Finance

As a member of Logistics Finance, you will be a strategic partner to the finance and global logistics teams. You will provide analysis and recommendations on critical supply chain initiatives to drive impactful decision making. This role presents the opportunity to partner across divisional and functional areas on a daily basis, giving you exposure to C-level executives and business leaders across TJX.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the processes and activities of the Business Analysis team to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate analytics and reporting
• Drive the development of financial models and reporting that facilitate analysis of key initiatives
• Deliver and present strategic recommendations to finance and logistics senior leadership teams including C-level executives to help drive decision making
• Provide market research on the freight industry to identify potential opportunities or headwinds that could impact the organization’s goals
• Support the financial planning process by delivering actionable insights on how various initiatives and market trends will impact the annual plan and rest of year forecasts
• Manage and mentor associates on training and professional development
• Build relationships with senior operational partners across the business
• Coordinate workloads to ensure projects are completed on time

Potential Projects:

• Supply Chain Optimization – Scope, evaluate and track key Logistics Cost Savings Initiatives that impact the freight forecast, evaluate potential downstream impacts to distribution centers and stores, and present findings to key Logistics and Finance executives
• Contract Negotiation Support – Partner with Logistics leadership to evaluate the financial impact of rate negotiations with our providers while leveraging market insights to evaluate TJX’s position vs market
• Business Case Support – Evaluate transportation projects to determine if the projects support the long-term growth of the business and meet key investment criteria
• Quarterly Earnings Support – Freight analysis and attribution that provides clear and concise insight to TJX freight drivers as part of Quarterly Earnings and Investor/Analyst preparation
• Presentation / Messaging Support – Presentation preparation and KPI reporting for Board of Director’s and Operational Summit meetings

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, Consulting, Investment Banking, or other related fields
• Bachelor’s degree with majors in Finance, Economics preferred
• Prior experience leading teams in a dynamic, fast paced environment
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation development skills; ability to develop robust interactive excel models independently
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to deliver insights, recommendations, and results concisely and effectively to Executive Level management
• Ability to work with ambiguity, removing obstacles and maintaining focus in complicated situations to deliver results for self and team
• Promotes collaboration within team & cross-functionally and actively finds opportunities for improvements
