What you’ll do

TJX Architecture is spearheading the global digital transformation of the organization. We partner with our product teams, capture strategy, assess the current state capabilities, establish future state needs, and create roadmap leveraging cutting edge components such as Cloud, DevOps, IaC Automation and usher in the next generation technology solutions that power the business capabilities for the organization.

As an Engineer role in enterprise container platform team is a key role that partners with key stakeholders in the organization and responsible for providing cloud native platform design, patterns, security, framework, automation, and modules that enable engineers to develop cloud native applications and increase adoption of public cloud aligned to TJX’s cloud-first strategy.

What you’ll need

We seek technical team members with domain expertise and excellent interpersonal skills, as our positions rely heavily on communication with key stakeholders in both business and engineering realms.  You'll be part of influencing a multi-year roadmap for delivering enterprise-grade cloud technologies.

Ideal candidate will be familiar with the challenges of driving cloud adoption using infrastructure as code, DevOps and Agile best practices.

Core Skills:

• 1-2 years’ experience with software development life cycle in an Agile environment
• 2+ years of DevOps experience (GitHub or Azure DevOps, YAML)
• 1-2 years’ experience with Infrastructure as code
• 2+ years of public cloud experience – Managing, provisioning, and maintaining IaaS, PaaS, Serverless, and Kubernetes on public cloud (Azure preferred)
• 1-2 years’ experience with Terraform, Consul, and Vault

(Familiarity with Security and Governance concerns in public cloud and enterprise environment) 

Pluses - Nice to Have:

• Experience with Ansible, Azure Resource Manager (via API, CLI, PowerShell, Bicep)
• Experience working with tools in the CNCF landscape or open source in general
• Knowledge of SRE concepts
• Strong understanding of REST API Services and JSON structures
• Strong code management experience and understanding using git
• Understanding of cloud networking technologies such as DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Load-Balancers. 
• Linux/Unix and Windows administration experience
• Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell
