About the team

The Merchandising Planning organization powers how TJX plans and optimizes product decisions on a scale. We build and support planning capabilities across Oracle RPAS, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Automation (RPA & TOSCA) and Oracle Exadata. You'll join a fully integrated Agile team that designs, builds, tests, and runs solutions that directly influence Planning strategies and business outcomes.

What you'll do

• Build & ship Python solutions (services, data/ETL pipelines, utilities, test automation) that integrate with and extend TM1 and TOSCA Automation capabilities.

• Accelerate DevOps maturity: design and run CI/CD pipelines, environment automation, secrets management, monitoring/alerting, and deployment strategies.

• Support & improve planning platforms-with a primary focus on TM1, plus Automation (RPA/Testing Automation), and adjacent stacks (RPAS, Oracle Exadata).

• Engineer for reliability: implement health checks, performance tuning, job orchestration, and resilient recovery for batch and near‑real‑time workloads.

• Deliver with DevSecOps practices: write clean, secure, performant code; create unit/integration tests and test automation scripts; uphold code reviews and quality gates.

• Own your work: fully own stories/features, set up application jobs, create test data, support deployments; for senior levels-lead medium/large initiatives and mentor others.

• Work the Agile way: collaborate with product/platform/infrastructure/security teams; use Jira/Confluence; contribute in SAFe ceremonies and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Python services, integrations, and automation assets that interface with TM1, TOSCA, and downstream systems.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git-based workflows, artifact mgmt, automated testing, gating, release orchestration).

• Partner with platform SMEs to enhance TM1 models and Test Automation processes using Python Automation.

• Implement RPA/Testing automations to streamline planning workflows and reduce manual effort.

• Instrument logging/metrics/tracing; ensure observability and on-call readiness for critical business cycles.

What you'll need (Minimum Qualifications)

• 3.5+ Years of Total IT Experience

• 3+ Years Experience Hands-on Python Development Exposure (services, ETL, automation, testing).

• 2+ DevOps experience: CI/CD (e.g., GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps), pipelines, artifacts, environment automation and basic IaC concepts.

• Data & APIs: REST integrations, message/event patterns, job orchestration, file/data pipelines

• Foundational SQL skills (querying, troubleshooting, performance awareness)

• Agile delivery experience; working knowledge of Jira and Confluence; SAFe exposure is a plus.

• Platform (bonus): IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Oracle Database/Exadata, Oracle Retail (RPAS), TOSCA Automation

• Strong problem solving, debugging, and ownership mindset; effective verbal and written communication.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Certifications (Plus)

• Python: PCEP, PCAP, PCPP or equivalent

• DevOps: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS DevOps
