We have an exciting newly created opportunity on our expanding Global Continuous Improvement team! The Global Continuous Improvement Manager will be onsite at our Marlborough, MA campus 2 days a week and remote 3 days in our hybrid work model.

Our Vision for this Role

As the Global Continuous Improvement Manager you’ll lead, manage, and have responsibility for high value and complex cross functional projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Intelligent Automation methodologies. You will also mentor less experienced associates in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and develop associates for future growth within the organization. As a subject matter expert (SME) for process improvement initiatives, you will support the TJX continuous improvement program across business divisions and functions.

The Skills that will Make You Successful

  • 3+ years of experience in Process Improvement, Quality, Operations, or other technical field
  • Black Belt certification preferred
  • Agile, SAFe, PMP, PgMP or Prince2 certification an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Operations Management, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics or another technical major preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Lean and DMAIC tools
  • Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Project management
  • Facilitation, team building and change management skills
  • Mentoring and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance opposing agendas
  • Organizational and time management skills.

The Responsibilities You’ll Have

Project Management

  • Leads, manages, and is responsible for high value, high profile and complex cross functional projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and Intelligent Automation methodologies.
  • Delivers measurable and validated results, leads playback to SLT multifunction Sponsors
  • Leads Process Optimization functional reviews and provides recommendations on the use of Lean, DMAIC and IA tools
  • Guides the project team through all phases of the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) roadmap.
  • Identifies the "Voice of the Customer" through data collection, surveys, and interviews.
  • Is responsible for the collection and analysis of data. Identifies and defines project metrics.
  • Scopes and assists in project definition for LSS projects.
  • Performs measurement systems and capability analysis.
  • Reviews statistical tests for accuracy.
  • Leads the project team in the generation and evaluation of solutions.
  • Develops pilot plans as needed.
  • Develops control plans to ensure project gains are continuous and sustainable.
  • Knowledgeable in the Agile Scrum methodology, Jira and Product Manager/Owner roles.

Program Support

  • Responsible for the process improvement program through the development and delivery of process improvement material and training.
  • Leads in the development and delivery of continuous improvement documentation and training.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the continuous improvement standards and methods applying industry best practices.
  • Identifies project opportunities while working within various business functions.
  • May participate on project teams outside of the functional area as a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Drives innovative strategies at TJX,
  • Cognizant of the evolving continuous improvement external and internal landscape and can enable new strategies for TJX including the Intelligent Automation program and deep analytics

Associate Development

  • Coaches indirect reports on project performance.
  • Coach business partners to bring their Process Optimization journeys to life.
  • Motivates team to achieve measurable results.

Decision Making

  • Decisions pertaining to the definition, analysis, implementation and control of process improvement initiatives
  • Evaluation of solutions and control plans, support of IA Journey and deployment
  • Management of project teams
