The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career

Provides support and action to advance Sierra and TJX’s sustainability initiatives and operational programs. This position serves as a forward-thinking sustainability advocate, who initiates, designs, implements, and maintains behavioral change programs that support actively engaging in sustainability practices.

A primary role of this position is developing and coordinating; communication, training, processes, reporting and compliance for Sustainability & Operational programs, such as damages, Associate/customer safety, product safety & recalls, and other programs as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Crafting and developing short- and long-term sustainability programs, Drafting and implementing social responsibility initiatives

• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of sustainability programs, and when needed, recommending changes to close gaps

• Researching regulatory (federal and statutory) compliance requirements that impact company operations, along with ways to reduce carbon footprint and ways to incorporate recycled materials

• Partnering with other business units (Corporate sustainability, finance, facilities, transportation, legal, Loss Prevention and compliance)

• Tracking sustainability and program financial efficiency, organizing, tracking, and validating waste diversion and reduction strategies

• Developing communication, training and organizational change materials regarding sustainability goals

• Creating all operational projects including but not limited to the areas of: Safety, Regulatory & Compliance, Damage Reduction and Product Safety, Coordinating and Administration of product recall programs

• Building relationships with strategic vendors

Responsible for putting into place "Best Practices" for any application, procedure and process rolled out to stores, as well as, evaluating and making recommendations to next level of management as to which would best fit the company's business needs. . Involved in the evaluation process of processes, programs, and solutions regarding sustainability and operational programs, as well as working with vendors on design decisions. 

Who We Are Looking For: You

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Passion for sustainability & safety, strong project management, communication, and organization skills
• Able to deal with diverse personal styles, functions, and multi-levels of responsibility
• Knowledge of policies and procedures, familiarity with concepts of organizational planning, operational and strategy planning
• HYBRID Position: 2 days weekly in Massachusetts Corporate Office, 3 days a week Remote
