    Position summary

    closely with various Divisions including Vehicle Services, Financial Reporting, Shared Services, TFS, internal and external auditors to perform the job.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Responsible for timely and accurate closing of parts accounting, which includes journal entry preparation, review of system interfaces, fluctuation analysis, general ledger account reconciliation.

    • Work closely and develop strong relationships with customers: Vehicle Services, Toyota Financial Services, Shared Services, Financial Reporting, and IT Support.

    • Prepare, report, and analyze accurate and timely financial statements monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually from Income Statement and balance sheet perspective for TMS.

    • Responsible for reconciliation of certain activities including A/P open item management and clearing.

    • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and new tools independently or in collaboration with other Toyota departments.

    • Responsible for working directly with the IT Department to monitor, resolve, and enhance system-related issues and tickets.

    • Deliver management reports and ad hoc requests from customers and other Toyota departments related to parts accounting activities.

    • Responsible for creating and updating the Standard Desk Procedures (SOP's) and process flows.

    • Support the enterprise- and department-level strategic projects.

    • Support quarterly review and annual audit by external and internal auditors.

    • Research and document accounting guidance and make proper changes to accounting processes and policies/narratives to support new accounting pronouncements.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

    • Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting/finance

    • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex lookups and formulas) and expertise in electronic work papers and other tools to enable efficiency

    • Self-starter with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines as well as the ability to switch between tasks as required for business priorities

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills and communication skills

    • Highly organized and detail-oriented

    • Ability to initiate and lead kaizen (continuous improvement) efforts through collaboration with other team members

    • Ability to navigate in uncertain situations and able to adapt to a changing environment

    Added Bonus If You Have

    • Automotive Industry Experience

    • CPA or equivalent experience

    • Public accounting experience

    • Toyota Accounting & Finance Experience

    • Experience with SAP and BPC

    • Experience with mainframe applications
