Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Final Assembly Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to project planning, standardization, and systems development for North America.
Reporting to the Final Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Final Assembly department's objective to plan future model activities across NAMCs.
What you’ll be doing
(30%) Project Planning for upcoming model changes
(30%) Simultaneous Engineering for assembly of vehicles with TMC & TTC
(25%) Standardize systems and procedures across all NAM’s
(15%) New Technology investigations and proof of concepts
Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or relevant experience
Experience working in a Production Engineering manufacturing environment
MS Office; Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
Ability to travel up to 30% to all NAMC’s (North America Manufacturing Centers) as well as Japan/Canada/Mexico
Ability to work up to 25% overtime
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
