Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Body Design Division is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop upper body and/or under body, interior and seat components for vehicles on the road today and future mobility.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Body Design Division's goal of achieving high quality release at each milestone throughout the full development cycle.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinate the design and development of upper body and/or under body, interior and seat components
Develop body components throughout the design cycle from concept stage to launch by using Toyota development methodologies and processes
Design utilizing Catia V5 independently and by leading Supplier Engineers or CAD modelers
Develop and continuously adjust priorities and processes to maintain project targets and deliverables – i.e. schedule, performance, cost, quality
Visualization of issues, concerns, and gaps for responsible parts and design processes.
Participate in improvement and reflection activities as required
What you bring (Required Experience/Education)
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline
Experience within engineering product design
Ability to work overtime as business needed
Ability to travel up to 10% when required (domestically and internationally)
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
What you may bring (Preferred Experience)
CATIA design experience
Body design or vehicle evaluation
Understanding of design for manufacturing, manufacturing process, and material properties
Project Management experience
