Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Office of the Global Deputy Chief Compliance Officer is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Global Compliance Program Director.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the development and enhancement of Toyota’s global Speak Up program in support of the company’s overall global compliance program.
Reporting to the VP of Global Compliance the person in this role will support the Office of the Global Deputy Chief Compliance Officer’s objective to lead and manage the Toyota global speak up program in coordination with each region to ensure concerns are handled effectively and efficiently.
What you’ll be doing
• Coordinating and leading global processes for effectively handling and managing concerns raised through Toyota’s Global Speak Up program.
• Leading, directing, or assisting on internal investigations to detect and prevent misconduct and address root cause issues through necessary remedial actions.
• Working with HR and others to agree to consistent and appropriate disciplinary measures and other necessary next steps.
• Use Speak Up program data to proactively identify trends and develop insights into action for improvement and lessons learned opportunities.
• Establishing and providing direction, promotion, and management of the global Speak Up program through coordination with the global regions.
• Collaborating with regional speak-up champions to inform and mitigate compliance risk at a local and regional level including key stakeholder coordination to ensure effective management of cross-department compliance controls, including investigations, audits, training, and communications.
• Evaluating, enhancing, and developing guidance and training resources in the form of policies, procedures, and written instructions that promote the global Speak Up program excellence.
What you bring
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields required.
• Solid related job experiences in compliance or related field, such as law enforcement, legal, risk management, or audit.
• Expertise in compliance-related work, including experience with FCPA or other anti-bribery/anti-corruption regulations, anti-competitive behavior, data privacy/protection, fraud-related issues, and cross-border investigations.
• Must be meticulous, able to exercise sound judgment, and observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of information received during this position.
Added bonus if you have
• Law Degree or Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting / Finance, Law/Compliance Management).
• Understanding of and/or exposure to Toyota global operations, including TMC.
• Japanese language fluency.

• This position is based in Plano, TX. Toyota encourages all employees to live within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned work location.
