Who we’re looking for
Connected Technologies is a newly formed group within Toyota, focused on delivering industry-leading user experiences and new technologies for our Toyota and Lexus vehicles. We’re looking for a passionate and highly motivated Infotainment QA Engineer to join our product QA team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing QA validations on products and services developed for in-vehicle infotainment systems, mobile applications, and associated backend systems. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent the team in open forums, to peers within CT, and with stakeholders. Additionally, strong analytical skills with the ability to articulate and dissect complex issues into a simple and meaningful format.

What you’ll be doing:
Test Plan, Test design, and script development for validation
Create and configure test benches, vehicles, and test setups
Perform validation for developed products and services by leveraging available/new tools and following best practices
Defect Logging, Triage, Preparing test reports, and coordination with relevant stakeholders
Provide technical support to internal customers, including, but not limited to: Document creation and/or videos on automation solution features; Host troubleshooting and training sessions; Collect automation system logs on potential software issues or enhancement opportunities; Collect monitoring and analysis tool logs for software issues and triages
Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standup, sprint planning, sprint refinement, and sprint demos
Adapt new technologies, tools, and processes from the organization as needed
Work with Product Owner(s)s and team members to meet all project deliverables and milestone dates
Communicate/collaborate with team members and business partners
What you bring:
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
Experience in connected vehicle/infotainment system validation
Extensive experience with log collections for vehicle head-units, communication systems, iOS, and Android mobile platform
Experience with dashboarding and documentation utilizing Jira, Confluence
Experience with enterprise QA frameworks such as BDD and TDD
Good at Impact Analysis and scenario storyboarding
Very good problem-solving skills with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
Experience with agile/scrum (software) and waterfall (vehicle manufacturing) development cycles
Experience in API testing microservices (REST, gRPC) hosted on the cloud (including AWS, GCP, Azure)
Good understanding and experience in testing Authentication types, SSL authentication, MQTT
Experience in in-car network protocol testing (including CAN, MOST)
