Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Information Systems – Digital Products and Services is looking for a passionate and highly motivated IIoT Data Engineer**.**

The primary responsibility of this role is to work with PE Shops to collect plant floor system data for visualization.

Reporting to the Modern and Agile Manufacturing Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Information Systems objective to move to a digital factory.

What you’ll be doing

• Working with PE Shops to ensure standardized data and hierarchies for rollup reporting

• Working with PE Shops towards one integrated platform to ingest and visualize data.

• Working with PE Shops to connect PE and OT systems for data collection and visualization.

• Working with PE Shops to ensure ITx Standards are applied (Ex: Security standards).

• Track and visualize status to upper management.

• Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to thoroughly understand current business processes and requirements for plant-floor IIoT systems.  Identify, prioritize, plan, and implement improvement activities to improve product quality.

• Professional development and learning new technology in the Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) space.

• Product Development team leadership to guide the development team members (5-8 Toyota TM or contingent worker resources) toward the product roadmap’s delivery goals.

• Lead Agile ceremonies of the product development team.  Regularly engage with key business and IT stakeholders to develop a technology roadmap and strategy.  Proactively manage technical debt.

• Budget management, problem/issue management with owned products and systems.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields.

• Project Management / Scrum Experience

• IIoT Cloud Experience (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).

• Analytics Experience (Power BI)

• Good written and oral communication.

• Hands-on technical Product Owner expertise within an Information Technology division

• Experience investigating and implementing cutting-edge IT technologies and platforms in a large-scale organization

• Demonstrable experience managing several full-lifecycle large-scale IT projects implementing or upgrading Manufacturing Quality Management systems and modules

• DevOps experience

• UI/UX experience

• Networking and Infrastructure experience

• Work experience in the automotive or manufacturing industries

• Experience in a large, global manufacturing operation

• Experience operating as a Product Owner in an Agile environment and using JIRA

• Previous experience as a software developer
