    Who we’re looking for

    Toyota’s Information Technology Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer for Marketing and Consumer portfolio within the OneTech’s Digital Engineering Organization

    The primary responsibility of this role is to build and maintain scalable ML pipeline using customer and marketing data, help build customer/individual level of intelligence to help business make decision at various stages of customer journey. Model productionization, continuous model development and deployment and managing model life cycles to properly adopt the industry standard MLOps practices.

    Reporting to the Lead ML Engineer, the person in this role will support the Marketing Technology and Analytics department's objective to optimize marketing investment by building customer level intelligence like next best action, recommendation engine, customer value models, etc.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Writing production level test driven code in Python and/or Java and Scala

    • Deploying and optimizing different pipelines that support various data science processes

    • Establish and set up model life cycle management with tools like MLFlow, etc.

    • Developing and deploying spark/Databricks jobs with enterprise tool stack including Jenkins, GitHub Actions

    • Deployment utilizing containerization solutions like Docker and kubernetes

    • Work as an agile team member in a scrum team and collaborate with other engineers and scientists. 

    • Work with product managers and senior scientist to deliver on the modeling needs.  

    What you bring

    • ML Engineering experience working in a product development or a data science team.

    • Experience with model development and deployment including training, validation, and monitoring  

    • Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)

    • Experience with laying out and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins

    • Have good understanding of statistics and basics of ML theories

    • Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture

    • Have a degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics; advanced degree is desirable

    Added bonus if you have

    • Exposure to deep learning and NLP and topic modeling

    • Experience with deploying model in production

    • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP) 

    • Experience with deploying applications and models in K8s clusters

    • Scala or Java programming

    • Experience with WSGI or ASGI based end point creation (Fast API/ Flask)
