Who we’re looking for
The Toyota Financial Services Data and Analytics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Oracle EPM Cloud - Planning Engineer. This senior analyst level team member will be focused on the Oracle EPM platforms.
The primary responsibility of this role is to be the subject matter expert within the BI Development Team responsible for collaborating with and acting as a liaison to multiple and diverse business groups and technologies. The person in this key role will participate in multiple technology and/or business releases and work closely with the business units and IT partners to create, identify, and evaluate deliverables such as user stories, business process models, user manuals, test plans and test results.
Reporting to the Manager, Oracle EPM Tech Lead, the person in this role will support the department's objective to design, development, and innovation of Financial Planning, Headcount Planning, Financial Reporting and Analytics solutions. Leveraging our organization’s financial data, we aim to enhance business decision, support, and business operations. This role partners closely with external suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders from our US locations and across multiple Toyota company entities and departments.
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate with all levels across the organization. Strong presentation skills are needed, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
What you’ll be doing
DnA Financial System Subject Matter Expertise
Create, evaluate, and present technical business cases, "as-is" and "to-be" business processes, "current" and "future" technology integration design recommendations to colleagues, management, business customers and vendors.
Assist in the development and enhancement of Oracle EPM Cloud – Planning applications and tools to support financial and operational reporting.
Build a solid understanding of TFS data and technologies. Requires hands-on experience of managing metadata, creation of accounts, entities, and dimensions, designing new reporting and using SmartView for ad-hoc analysis.
Maintain and develop calc scripts and rules files.
Provide support to user community through troubleshooting, report development and training.
Works with TFS business partners to identify and document the financial data requirements and reporting metrics.
Works with internal Support team to transition enhancements into production environment and ensure adherence to change management policies and procedures.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
DnA/FP&A Relationship Building
Partner with our Regional stakeholders to prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Annual system enhancements and fixes.
Lead the fulfillment of internal and external audit requests for SOX & ITGC Compliance and quarterly and annual financial audits. Develops new and maintains existing SOX & ITGC controls for consolidations and reporting systems.
Facilitate business process design/redesign sessions and create documentation, as needed for new methodology.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement process improvements for utilization of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in Finance to enhance internal controls and improve efficiencies.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree
Significant hands-on technical/analytical work experience relevant to this position, such as Oracle EPM Cloud – Planning (PBCS).
Knowledge of/experience in HFM/FCCS, FDMEE, OAC/Essbase, DRM and batch scripting.
Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) and/or data visualization tools.
Project management skills.
Experience with reporting and analytics tools (such as HFR or SmartView).
Agile Methodology experience.
Added bonus if you have
MBA or Master of Science degree in a discipline relevant to this position.
Advanced SQL skills.
Ability to speak Japanese and/or Spanish.
Familiarity with Intercompany Elimination and SAP Code Blocks.
Working knowledge of deployment, configuration of connector server clients to enable SSO and MFA to multiple AD domains.
