    Who we’re looking for

    Toyota’s Information Technology Experiences (ITx) organization is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Ariba Technology Product Owner within the Business Platform Operations department.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to lead as an Ariba Engineer, and secondarily be able to lead, manage, kaizen, formalize KPI’s and be responsible in BPO Upgrade and Non-Upgrade activities with and communicate to cross team peers, managers, COE counterparts, business, and business partners.

    Reporting to the Senior Manager the person in this role will support the Business Platform Operations department's objective to provide a Modern, Highly Available, Stable and Flexible SAP Platform with industry leading practices supporting Toyotas Future of Mobility.

    What you’ll be doing

    • Continuous Improvements on tasks and processes implemented and continuously improve on existing custom development objects related to Interfaces, Reports, Conversions, Forms, and Enhancements

    • Provide high quality support for production critical incidents by quickly assessing the current situation, communicating with stakeholders, formulating a plan to resolve, follow up on action items through closure.  Follow all standard IT procedures for problem management with problem reports to address root cause and proper countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence

    • Understand implementation methodology and technology on critical manufacturing plants and A&F reporting and support going forward. Translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and delivering solutions. Lead and look at functional & technical support packs/enhance packs in your respective areas required for Toyota.  Leverage the SAP Ariba best practices, manage regular Ariba releases and upgrades, and high priority one Toyota service tickets.

    • Strategic planning and continuous improvement of SAP Ariba functional and technical capabilities. Enhance Ariba efficiency, stability, security, and reduce total cost of ownership.  Lead in all phases of the SAP Ariba life cycle including POC, blueprinting, mapping, design, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.  Organize and prepare work effectively to facilitate proactive resolution of problems. 

    • Responsible for data integrity between SAP S/4HANA transactional and master data and SAP Ariba

    • Collaborate closely with business key stakeholders to understand current condition, identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, deliver enhancements to improve quality and productivity.  Collaborate closely with SAP Ariba on technology roadmap to optimize the investment for maximum returns.

    • Provide detailed definition on how the applications will support business requirements.  Create and maintain functional/business requirements and technical specifications.  Coach/train other team members to develop stronger functional and technical skills for SAP Ariba/Cloud Integration Gateway

    • Establish project and operations KPI.  Measure plan vs. actual. Develop kaizen plans.  Communicate accurate status of deliverables, SLA, risk and issues.

    • Communicate and visualize project status through Scrum Ceremonies, KPI, status reports, project schedules, project team updates, management updates, etc.  Develop and deliver presentations to Working Team and Management Teams.

    • Identify innovative options to achieve business benefits and evaluate consistently based on pre-defined criteria.  Effective diagnosis of issues, identification of root cause, and execution of data clean up.  Ability to work on complex developments and deployment projects with tasks, timelines, and workflows.  Work with internal IS groups, such as Enterprise Architecture, Network, Security, and others to identify solutions

    • Work with other IT and  business product owners to understanding requirements, evaluate the benefits, assess priorities using standard IS process.  Create strategies and proposals to gain agreement and achieve business benefits.  Build strong relationships with business counterparts.  

    What you bring

    • Ariba process experience & Technical knowledge of Ariba solutions and products

    • Business and functional requirements analysis experience and Ariba integration with S4P/4HANA experience

    • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging complex integrated applications

    • Experience using written and verbal communication skills effectively, with the ability to create and present concepts, influence and persuade the business, and make recommendations to management

    • Experience in Ariba Supplier Risk, Ariba Sourcing, Ariba Contracts, Procurement Workspaces, and Ariba Integration with Cloud Integration Gateway

    • Integration knowledge of SAP Ariba solutions with Cloud Integration Gateway using SAP Process Integration/Orchestration. Experience with technical configuration to integrate with Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) and SAP ERP/ S4HANA systems

    • SAP Full Life Cycle Implementation serving in hands-on and lead capacity including support and debugging

    • Experience with OSS notes, Support Packs, Enhancement Packs, Version upgrades

    • Java and object-oriented programming; Enterprise cloud application; Write SQL queries; JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), Javascript and Jquery; XML, including SOAP and HTML; Defect Management: Collaborate with development organization to troubleshoot and fix defects; Build API and fetch data suing Fiddler and/or Soap UI applications; HTTP Troubleshooting of Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocol upgrades; Fetch Big Data, analyze and create reports using API; and Troubleshoot and debug common web-browsers along with SSO (Single Sign-on) technologies, particularly SAML

    What you may bring

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science and/or Business Administration or Equivalent

    • Ability to work with large, distributed teams onshore and offshore with diverse competencies, skills, and ability to work in fast paced/high pressure culture

    • Full Life Cycle Implementation Experience

    • Function/Technical Capacity and Lead Roles & experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies & SAP Ariba, S4HANA Certifications

    • Strong Business Process Knowledge & Self-Motivated individuals preferred
