    Who we’re looking for

    Toyota’s Internal Logistics Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Engineer.

    The primary responsibility of this role is to lead Internal Logistics Engineering projects and work with cross-functional groups. 

    Reporting to the Internal Logistics Manager, the person in this role will support the Internal Logistics Engineering department's objective to optimize the Toyota North America supply chain by balancing the requirements of external logistics and Production Engineering planning and manufacturing groups to develop the most efficient/automated internal delivery process

    What you’ll be doing

    • Lead cross functional internal logistics projects, while working with Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TMNA) Engineering groups and North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMC) departments to trouble shoot and create automation for the material flow of the future Toyota 360 plant.
    • Lead cross functional Internal Logistics New Automation Model Projects from Design Phase to SOP
    • Lead Multiple NAMC Shop Projects with a Team of ILE Engineers
    • Challenge and break down the ideal situation and current systems in pursuit of establishing the optimal business process to improve supply chain performance using efficient problem solving and countermeasure development.
    • Develop and execute strategy to communize and consolidate supply chain data / KPI reflecting internal delivery, routing and returns handling performance to facilitate daily process management and problem solving.
    • Collaborate directly with NAMC departments and Pilot Engineers to confirm process requirements, tool development and system compliance requirements. 

    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent Total Supply Chain/ Equipment professional work experience
    • AutoCAD Layout Design experience
    • Experience in Supply Chain and / or Logistics automation
    • Experience with NAMC Major Model Change, New Plant SOP, or Automation/programming lead
    • Experience in leading team through plant start up.
    • Material Handling or programming experience in manufacturing environment
    • Microsoft Excel Experience
    • Willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally
    • New Model Launch Experience (SE activity)
