    Who we're looking for

    Toyota's Supply Chain Planning Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Logistics Operations Senior Analyst.

    This role's main responsibility is to lead the development, sustainment, and Kaizen of a Toyota Production System (TPS) Parts Supply Chain.

    Reporting to the Logistics Planning & Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing Parts Operations department's objective to lead continuous improvement of Freight management processes/procedures across NAMC's (Governance) while incorporating a passion for innovation and process improvement into daily management cycles. Teaching and leading through PDCA, TBP, JKK, TPS and principals is key. This role also includes collaboration with Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, as Toyota manages logistics for the entire operation, not just Toyota freight.

    What you'll be doing

    • Manages all aspects of external logistics for Mazda Toyota Manufacturing (MTM).

    • Manage system and process implementation from TMNA to all logistics operations on the MTM property

    • Serve as the Toyota representative for all operational issues, working with the NAMC, Dock and Internal Logistics, to ensure flawless logistics support for all operations on site

    • Manage the Logistics Cost Budget Creation and Management, the monthly analysis and the kaizen requirements to ensure competitiveness and profitability

    • Manage the daily plan versus actual for logistics and operations and approves all customary logistics cost expenditures and confirms during invoicing approval.

    • Lead Problem Solving activities to drive Continuous Improvement across different companies

    • Manage multiple LPs to ensure proper floor, yard and trucking processes, management and visualization are in alignment and managed using the OMDS process

    • Lead cross functional process improvement (JKK) and Problem Solving (TBP) to ensure quality performance for inter-company customers.

    • Manage Abnormal Operations, providing and training for actions taken during supplier, logistics and production crises. Ensure all actions taken are in line with abnormal process and instruction to ensure no plant impact.

    • Lead Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost kaizen activities to ensure all KPI are met/Exceeded

    • Managing Monthly Billing to ensure accuracy of invoice transactions to ensure proper payment in a timely manner

    What you bring

    • Bachelor's Degree - BS or BA or equivalent work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management

    • 3+ years' experience managing over the road transportation, Logistics Providers and transportation kaizen

    • 3+ years' experience with Toyota Logistics Operations management with understanding of Yard Management as well as Cross Dock Management

    • Proven communication skills to include report writing (A3) and presenting to senior leadership

    • Demonstrated ability to guide, persuade and build consensus for coordinated action across functions and locations (report writing / presenting, etc.)

    • Familiarity with systems supporting Toyota Supply Chain (TSCS, LIOS, FVM, OWK).

    Added bonus if you have

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

    • Demonstration of problem solving and process creation through TBP/JKK (passed panel)

    • Continuous Process Improvement experience
