Position summary

ABOUT THE ROLE
Uber for Business is seeking a strategic, resourceful, and driven Sales Leader to grow our US Mid-Market team, focused on accounts with 1-5k employees. As a Manager of Mid-Market Sales, you will mentor and develop a high-performing team of Account Executives while building a strong network with internal and external stakeholders to drive acquisition. The ideal person would have experience focused on leadership in the mid-market space, has a strategic mentality, is data-driven, and a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

You'll succeed if: you embrace rolling up your sleeves alongside your team; enjoy finding the balance between short-term needs and long-term investments; your working style is collaborative, process-oriented, and decisive.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Set strategy, create plans, and lead a sizable team to meet and exceed targets

  • Directly recruit, manage, and mentor the Mid-Market Sales team responsible for acquiring new logos on the Uber for Business platform.

  • Responsible for establishing a customer obsessed culture that develops and operationalize sales strategy to achieve sales critical metrics

  • Lead the full sales cycle from outreach to close; engage and align optimally in C-level meetings with mid-market prospects, actively listen to understand business objectives and challenges, and align Uber For Business solutions to accomplish partner goals

  • Manage and report accurate forecast and pipeline to achieve sales goals on a quarterly basis, and coach Account Executives on strategies to reach their goals

  • Establish an effective partnership with Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal and Marketing teams 4-5 job responsibilities to give the candidate a picture of what it's like to be in this role day-to-day

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience directly leading a sales team

  • 5+ years of mid-market or enterprise sales experience

  • Leadership experience hiring and coaching a sales teams selling into accounts with 1k-5k employees

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as stakeholder management, sales systems design, and data analysis experience

  • Experience with Salesforce; ability to develop analysis based on CRM data in a scalable manner

  • Experience working within a high-growth company
  • Exceptional business judgment with the ability to use data to quickly establish high-value priorities and strategies to pursue them
  • A portfolio of achievement in growing a customer base and consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Motivational leadership style established through a keen ability to lead by example
  • Desire to take initiative; lean-in with your team; thrive with change and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong references from former employers and business partners; passion for building relationships
  • Highly curious and a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced collaborative environment
