About the Team

The Global Service Design (GSD) Operations Insights team has been given the charge to build standardized data reporting and insights solutions for the Global COEs through the Fount program. The Fount program takes on 2 key value propositions in CommOps: Foundational- where the goal is to establish Fount as the Global COE SSOT (single source of truth); and Transformational- where the goal is to develop Fount for Global COE use cases on Footprint and Operational Insights.

About the Role

We are looking for an outstanding Data Analytics Specialist to join our Global Service Design- Operations Insights team to work with the global A&I, WFM, and regional COE programs and analytics & reporting teams. This individual should have a solid ability to find solutions to complex problems. You have comfort with data and can translate that into reporting and suggestions for specific actions. You are detailed, thorough, and able to work independently in order to meet global deadlines. You are passionate about making business decisions through data and analytics. You can communicate with high-level partners and demonstrate tremendous ownership.

What you will Do:

  • Work as a Data Analyst in the Global Fount Scorecard project that encompasses the broad spectrum of data reporting and analysis, data pipeline creation, back-end data mapping build, and automation, data and metrics processing and management, and reporting and visualizations.
  • Conceptualize, build, and maintain SQL and Tableau-based solutions in addition to excellent Sheets/ Excel and general programming/coding skills
  • Create, manage, centralize, and optimize agent, metric, and queue data pipelines
  • Audit, automate, and improve the back-end data mapping process
  • Build logic for data metrics and calculations in the Fount scorecard layer
  • Design, build and implement visualizations in Tableau and Data Studio
  • Improve data quality and completeness through regular data audits
  • Be a thought partner for Fount and handle projects independently of conceptualization, analysis, and delivery
  • Dig deep into Uber data sources and find opportunities for improvement across metrics and operations independently
  • Drive analysis on projects and meaningful strategic decisions improving the experience for our driver partners and riders
  • Coordinate with other members of the Community Operations team to measure the impact and efficiency of new products and business processes

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of work experience in Analytics/ Business Intelligence/ Statistical analysis or related experience is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of SQL and general programming/coding skills
  • In-depth knowledge of data structures along with having proficient business context.
  • Outstanding Analytical, problem-solving, Excel, and data management skills
  • Basic understanding of statistical techniques and ability to employ stats in solving business problems
  • Effective people and collaboration skills.
  • Good communication and organization skills, with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the key takeaways, and disseminate practical insights
  • Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment
  • Ability to self-serve, investigate, get the required data and expertise in data visualization/presentation
  • Ability to run projects right from ideation to final execution by collaborating with multiple collaborators

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Good working knowledge in R/Python Automation skills.
  • Project Management Experience
  • Scorecard experience
